Tuscarawas County Courthouse
The City of New Philadelphia is the county seat thus the county courthouse is located here.
The current courthouse building was built in 1882 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
It features an 1888 Seth Thomas clock.

Schoenbrunn Village
The first European settlement in Ohio was founded in 1772 as a Moravian Indian Mission to the
Delaware Indians. Today the reconstructed village includes seventeen log
buildings, gardens, the original mission cemetery, and a museum and visitor center.

Trumpet in the Land - Outdoor Drama
This outdoor drama will enter its 38th year in June of 2007. It's an unforgettable production of
the western frontier of America and the founding of Ohio’s first settlement.
Other outdoor drama productions at the Schoenbrunn Amphitheatre
include "The White Savage," "Dracula," and a Broadway musical.

Tuscora Park
This family oriented park is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It offers
picnic facilites, concession stands, three swimming pools, and
other rides. Tuscora Park also has an original antique Herschell-Spillman carousel with
hand carved carousel animals. |

New Phila. Dairy Queen Brazier®
Angel Homes and Furnishings, Inc. purchased the Dairy Queen franchise for Tuscarawas County in 1984.
They opened the Dover location in 1985 and followed that opening in 1986 at New Philadelphia. The year 1987
marked the opening of the Uhrichsville location and in 1989 the Bolivar Dairy Queen. Angel Homes and
Furnishings is still currently involved with the New Philadelphia and Bolivar stores. |

New Philadelphia Post Office
The business district of New Philadelphia was laid out as a replica of Philadelphia, PA
and the New Philadelphia post office is a replica of Independence Hall.

Warther Carvings & Gardens
This museum showcases the carvings of the "World's Master Carver," Ernest (Mooney)
Warther. Also featured are Mrs. Warther's button collection and a five acre park with Swiss
floral gardens.
